From August 3 to 5, 2026, Malaysia Business Events Week 2026 (MBEW 2026) was held at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre.

Golden Point Leisure & MICE Holiday participated in MBEW 2026 as a Buyer, Seller and Event Partner. Beyond attending the event itself, we had the opportunity to step behind the scenes and witness how an international business event comes to life — from venue setup and stage production to lighting, audio, technical coordination and the final presentation.

A successful event does not begin just two or three weeks before the event. For a large-scale business event, months of preparation may be required. From venue planning and programme design to supplier coordination, stage construction, technical production, on-site operations and safety management, every element needs to be carefully planned and coordinated.

Every venue also comes with its own SOPs, technical requirements and safety standards. Professional event teams need to understand these requirements well in advance to ensure that every component can be delivered safely, smoothly and on schedule.

Walking through the venue while it was still being prepared gave us a different perspective. What may look like a polished event on the final day is actually the result of countless details, decisions and hours of work behind the scenes.
