Due to promoting the free trade area and encourage the economy cooperation in 19 countries of 𝐀𝐏𝐄𝐂, APEC had launch the APEC Business Travel Card Scheme(ABTC) in 1997 with economies participate in the ABTC scheme including 19 countries(𝐀𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐚, 𝐁𝐫𝐮𝐧𝐞𝐢 𝐃𝐚𝐫𝐮𝐬𝐬𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐦, 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐞, 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐚, 𝐇𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐊𝐨𝐧𝐠, 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐚, 𝐉𝐚𝐩𝐚𝐧, 𝐊𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐚, 𝐌𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐲𝐬𝐢𝐚, 𝐌𝐞𝐱𝐢𝐜𝐨, 𝐍𝐞𝐰 𝐙𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐝 , 𝐏𝐚𝐩𝐮𝐚 𝐍𝐞𝐰 𝐆𝐮𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐚, 𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐮 , 𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬 ,𝐑𝐮𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐚, 𝐒𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐞 , 𝐓𝐚𝐢𝐰𝐚𝐧, 𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐕𝐢𝐞𝐭𝐧𝐚𝐦) as fast-track entry and exit through special APEC lanes at participating airports. ABTC also including the multiple benefit for short term entries to precleared APEC economies without having to make a separate visa application to fully participating members.
